MYSTICAL'S SHEPHERDS

AKC/UKC GERMAN SHEPHERDS FOR SHOW, WORK OR COMPANION

I just wanted to say that I have been very busy and a lot of changes has happen here in the past 6 months. My only female is now retired from breeding but may come out time to time for showing. I have started working as well. I am trying to get back into showing with my boy Knight. As for breeding I won't have puppies for at least 2 1/2 years or so unless I lease a bitch that I think is right for Knight. I will still stud him out as well as Talyn. I will keep updates on those on my available now page. I want to thank everyone that has gotten puppies from me in the past as well the ones that has stayed true friends and help me out along the way. I have not gone any where just been a little bit busy with my new life.

Mystical's Shepherds is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA and was establish in 2003 with our first AKC German Shepherd Mystical's Heaven's Luna, then not long after that we got our first AKC Siberian Husky Heaven's Glaciers Shadow. At that time we didn't have plans for breeding or showing but I started to really get into both breeds, learning and reading everything that I could about them. We started out by doing obedience here locally with both dogs passing and Shadow passing advance obedience. He got his CGC title not long after that. I didn't start breeding until 2005 and I have been doing better ever since. We are now in the show ring doing conformation and I have 3 children that shows in Jr's from time to time. We have been very blessed with the dogs we have and look forward to what the future holds for us.

Having 3 kids and their friends over our dogs get plenty socialized not including dog shows. The animals also go to the vet for check-ups, X-rays, rabies shots and anything else that is needed. I also do OFA after they are 2 years old and CERF. I wait to breed after they are 2 years old, I believe they are too young before that and still growing which the extra weight of pups on the dam can do more harm than good on their growing bones. They will have one maybe two litters a year but I will never have more than one litter at a time. It is too much on myself to care for more than one litter for they can have as many as 10 or more pups. I like to make sure they are well socialized from birth and around all kinds of noises from kids playing to lawn mowers anything that is in a normal household. I like mine to be strong, confident, beautiful dogs that is first and foremost a great family dog.

We are a very active family. I work at KFC?LJS, care for the kids, house and the animals.  I am a coach for my daughter's cheerleading team. My daughter Cheyenne is also a Jr. Handler of a Tibetan Spaniel but would LOVE to handle a long coat Chi. My middle son Braden is active in Soccer,  a Jr. Handler, Tibetan Spaniel but still looking for the right dog to handle. Then my oldest Steven is in band sometimes he shows in Jr's. There is never a dull moment in this house.
